Kent College Win Gatwick Airport South East Young Engineers of The Year Award

The Kent College team of Dipendra Gurung, Marfa Popova, Ruangfah Ruangsorn, Michael Tye, Henrique Florencio Marote and Kiran Pachabhaiya won the Gatwick Airport South East Young Engineers of the Year award for their project “Low Cost Robotic Arm” after being asked by BAE Systems to design a low-cost arm which could be made available to the general public worldwide.

Judges at the Big Bang Fair South East said they had shown “passion and dedication,” focusing on a real need and application. The team will also represent the South East in the national finals.
