Young People having fun exploring coding

Kent & Medway STEM launched CoderDojo at Canterbury Christ Church University, Canterbury in January 2017, which provides a free, volunteer-led, community-based programming club for young people. The importance of understanding of programming languages is increasingly important in the modern world, that it’s better and easier to learn these skills early especially with young people to build a positive future through coding and community.

On Monday 3rd April, Kent and Medway STEM hosted the second CoderDojo at CCCU, Canterbury where over 30 young people aged 5 to 14 years old attended. Eight STEM Ambassadors supported the club running a variety of tracks including Scratch, Kodu, Python, Makey Makey and HTML.

Our next CoderDojo will be held on Wednesday 9th August from 1-4pm, tickets are FREE of charge and will be launched in early June.
