Get ready for National Careers Week with new STEM careers profiles from BT STEM Crew

 April 08 2017

To celebrate National Careers Week, BT STEM Crew has launched its latest offering of free careers profiles.

BT STEM Crew is provided by the 1851 Trust, official charity of Sir Ben Ainslie’s America’s Cup sailing team Land Rover BAR. The 1851 Trust aims to harness the excitement surrounding Land Rover BAR as a way to inspire a future generation, with particular emphasis on promoting STEM subjects in school.

Designed to support teachers of STEM subjects when developing awareness about the variety of STEM careers on offer, the new careers section will put students’ learning into real-life context by exploring career profiles of Land Rover BAR team members. With BT STEM Crew, teachers can open their students’ eyes to the huge cross section of exciting careers, from designers and analysts to engineers and nutritionists.

BT STEM Crew is a free online education programme designed for teachers of 11-16 year olds, providing resources to teach science and engineering principles through real-world applications in performance sailing

Land Rover BAR will challenge for the 35th America’s Cup in 2017, aiming to bring the cup home to the UK for the first time in the race’s 166 year history.
