Kent and Medway

On 12th January 2011 staff from Dartford Grammar School, Rainham School for Girls, Rainham Mark Grammar School, Northfleet School for Girls, Mascalls School, and Mid Kent College, as well as a number of STEM Ambassadors took part in the STIXX Practical Engineering Skills Professional Development Opportunity event at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Participants had the opportunity to have hands on experience of setting up and running a project using the STIXX machine. The STIXX machine manufactures strong tubes from newspapers which can be used to construct a variety of structures.
