Kent and Medway
Students from the Marlowe Academy in Ramsgate enjoyed an end of term STIXX Challenge at their school. The pupils were put to work in teams in a contest to build the tallest tower out of rolled newspaper rods. Using the STIXX Machines the newspaper rods are strong enough to construct stable towers. In the past other schools have used the machines to build chairs, shelters, bridges and even go-carts!
Kent & Medway STEM currently have three STIXX Machines which are available for secondary schools to borrow free of charge
