Dungeness B is offering free STEM Club events for children throughout the school holidays to 'inspire the next generation of engineers'

All children aged 8 years and over are welcome and must be accompanied throughout by a responsible adult. Only 25 places available per day, so book early to avoid disappointment!

The day includes:

A tour of Dungeness B Power Station in the morning - please arrive at 9.30am, your tour will commence with a safety and secruity briefing. You will see the reactors and the turbine hall (subject to operational requirements) and find out how electricity is produced. We return to the Visitor Centre at 12pm (please bring a packed lunch as there is not a cafe).

After lunch offers the opportunity to make mini electrical circuits, powering minature fans, LED bulbs, alarms and more! The children will be able to learn how to make electricity with fruit and vegetables and how to make and power balloons. Make turbines and pylons, learn about recycling and upcycling and talk about power production. Take part in a business enterprise fun activity.
